S.A.L.T. (Leadership Team)

St. Apollinaris Leadership Team (S.A.L.T.)

The purpose of the St. Apollinaris Leadership Team (S.A.L.T.) is to provide an opportunity for student leadership experience, to encourage everyone to be active Catholic Christian citizens, to promote pride in being a student of St. Apollinaris Catholic School, to provide representation for the entire student body, and to serve God, Church, and community.

S.A.L.T. Qualifications

  • 7th and 8th Grade Students (President and Vice-President must be entering 8th grade for the 26-27 school year)
  • In the 27-28 school year the President and Vice-President positions must be held by a student who served as part of S.A.L.T. during the 26-27 school year
  • Faculty and Principal Approval
  • Students serving in leadership positions must be in good standing both academically and behaviorally. To be eligible, students may not have any D or F grades and must not have any suspensions or records of serious misconduct. Leadership candidates are expected to model the values, responsibility, and character reflective of the St. Apollinaris school community.

Members participate in weekly/biweekly meetings at lunchtime and afterschool to plan activities to support their goals. Students act as leaders for their school and model leadership traits to their school and greater community. Members will complete a service project as a team and must maintain their grade and conduct requirements.

Candidate Expectations

All S.A.L.T. candidates should:

  • Demonstrate leadership, responsibility, and positive behavior;
  • Maintain good academic standing;
  • Model respect and Christian values;
  • Show commitment to serving the school community;
  • Be dependable and participate in meetings and activities; and
  • Represent St. Apollinaris Catholic School with integrity and pride.
  • No 3s or 4s on report cards in conduct and effort. Leaders will be notified of minor/major misconducts.
  • Service
