Overnight Outdoor Education in 4th, 6th, and 8th Grades

Fourth Grade

Students will have the opportunity to go back in time and discover the excitement and history of one of this country’s greatest migration stories. Students will immerse themselves in the history of the California Gold Rush during their 3 day/2 night experience at Coloma Resort and Marshall Gold Discovery State Historic Park.

Sixth Grade

Students will participate in a 3 day/2 night stay in the Redwood forest. Alliance Redwoods hosts an amazing outdoor educational experience in which the students will have a variety of Environmental Science classes, Challenges Course activities, Team-Building Initiative classes, night hikes and campfire/skit nights.

Eighth Grade

Students will participate in a 5 day/4 night stay in Yosemite National Park. The overnight environmental science program offers students the opportunity to engage in inclusive, hands-on learning experiences in one of the world's most iconic national parks. Students explore the deep valleys, grand meadows and sequoia forests, while challenging themselves physically, building meaningful relationships and discovering a caring relationship with the natural world.
